Return & Refund Policy

The Steadfast 10-Year Structural Guarantee

We engineer our yard infrastructure to outlast anything you can buy in a cardboard box. We stand behind our steel components with a firm, 10-Year Limited Warranty.

10-Year Steel Hardware Warranty

If our 12-gauge steel corner brackets bend, snap, or structurally fail under normal growing and weather conditions within 10 years of installation, we will replace the hardware for free. (Note: Minor surface rust or cosmetic scratches from yard tools are normal over a decade and do not affect the structural integrity of the bed; therefore, they are not covered).

1-Year Workmanship Guarantee

We guarantee our installation and leveling against severe settling or frost-heave shifting for one full year. If the foundation of your bed drastically shifts after its first winter, we will come back and re-level it.

In Canada, the ground freezes, expands, and heaves. Traditional wooden garden beds are ripped apart at the corners by this winter movement. We build Steadfast beds to act as a single, rigid, monolithic structure.

We guarantee that our heavy-duty steel brackets will hold your frame perfectly square and structurally intact through the violent freeze/thaw cycles of a Canadian winter. If the corners pull apart or the frame fails due to winter shifting in the first year, we will rebuild it.

Because we install these beds directly on your graded landscape to preserve your yard's natural drainage, the entire bed may "float" slightly up and down with the deep frost. This is normal, harmless, and exactly what the steel chassis is designed to handle.

Lumber Expectation

Wood is a natural material. While we use thick, pressure-treated lumber designed for ground contact, all wood will naturally weather, fade, and eventually decay. The lumber acts as the "skin" of your garden bed and is considered a consumable part. We do not warranty lumber against natural checking (surface cracking), warping, or eventual rot. When the wood eventually reaches the end of its lifespan, your steel skeleton will remain standing, allowing you to simply swap in fresh boards.

Return Policy for Installed Infrastructure

Because our products are custom-built, leveled, and installed directly into the soil on your property, we have a strict return policy regarding completed builds.

  • Before Installation (Cancellations): You may cancel your order for a full 100% refund at any time before our team arrives on-site to begin the installation.

  • After Installation (Final Sale): Once a garden bed or infrastructure system has been installed and/or filled with soil, it is considered a Final Sale. We do not accept returns on lumber that has been cut to fit your yard or materials that have been in contact with soil and water.

Defects & Workmanship Issues

If you believe there is a structural defect or an issue with our workmanship immediately following your installation, you have 14 days to report it to us.

  • Contact: Email us at damien@steadfastworks.ca with photos of the issue.

  • Resolution: We will dispatch a team member to your property to inspect the build. If the issue is due to our materials or installation process, we will repair or replace the affected components at zero cost to you.

Return Method & Fees

In the rare event that an exception is made and Steadfast agrees to remove a previously installed structure, a Removal & Restocking Fee of $200 per bed or installed item will be deducted from your refund to cover the manual labor required to dismantle and haul away the materials.
